When we stop winning, and start playing, that's when our lives really shine! Stop Winning

The biggest win I ever experienced was on the day I finally realized that life isn't a game you can win, only play.* After that realization, playing every moment with all my heart became infinitely more important than whether I achieved a particular result. Amazingly, and as if in an instant moment, I won the lottery, got published, and gained the love and support of my community in a deeper and more profound way than I had ever known. All of a sudden I was wealthy, in a supportive and wonderful relationship, and I was writing more profusely and at the same time with a deeper passion. Clarity came, along with its sister gift of love. Sound like a fairy tale? In spite of being in the middle of this incredible streak of satisfaction, it still feels surreal to me as well. Lucky for me, or more to the truth, after a long number of years of hard work getting prepared for such increases by doing the abundance acclimation processes I developed and now offer in The One Penny Millionaire!™ online seminar series, I was able to handle this huge increase in a graceful way. I was also able to gracefully handle the continuing expanding increases as well! My abundance preparation allowed me to keep going, and amazingly to even me, it gets better and better all the time. It can for you as well.            It wouldn't be fair here to outline such satisfying experiences without contrasting them to the way it had been. Three divorces, a bankruptcy, a writing career I had devoted a huge amount of time and energy to, seemingly without the results I wanted, along with a few failed businesses and a drinking problem in my twenties, and then the absolutely necessary to us all "difficult" childhood, were just the beginning pages of my story of a former life. Yes, that history had been mine, and then after owning it all I finally tossed it out to embrace the life I now have. Why give energy to a past that no longer serves you? Even though each and every one of those experiences served me once and I would not trade a single moment of my life for anything, that doesn't mean I want to repeat any of them by continually reinforcing the information of how to do them again, through focusing on those moments with my thoughts and feelings! Thank God I learned how to let go of that one! Rewrite your history and your future will change, that's a Universal guarantee. All you have to do is stop practicing being used to failure and start getting used to your abundance. It's simple, straightforward, and it works every time.            This process of abundance acclimation, or the getting used to being successful in our own eyes, isn't hard. In fact, I am happy to report that a thousand other coaches for abundance have said the same exact things I outline, and have been doing so for thousands upon thousands of years. The key to their wisdom is in our listening. When we finally hear what they have to say, and then apply that wisdom to our lives, is when that wisdom will make a difference to us. If you think about it, it's like waiting to paint a house. Until you actually put the paint on the siding, the color of the home won't change. Until we actually test out what we know will work, the color of our lives won't change either. Until I gave up trying so hard to achieve things, or winning, and instead focused my energy on exactly the moment I was living in, giving whatever task I was doing all I had, then nothing changed. Before I started to play this way, regardless of time, energy, or effort thrown at something, the results of all that work were always disappointing. That was my greatest former frustration. That I worked and worked so hard, as if efforting alone was the reason I would succeed. When the only thing I got out of that much hard work was more hard work! Don't get me wrong, I still work hard, but the objective of that work is different now. All my work isn't devoted to achievement anymore, it's devoted to satisfaction. And the only way to be satisfied is to be satisfied in this now moment regardless of anything, because this is the only moment we will ever have to smile and laugh within. This is also the only moment we will ever have to enjoy. For every one of us, that would be, right now. I have stopped winning and started playing.             I must have read, watched, and listened to, a million mentors tell me to do exactly what I have finally decided to do, and yet until now never really applied this wisdom. It was in the application that the inspiration and results came. The application I realized is the wisdom. I know, I am repeating myself here, but unless you are jumping up and down cheering yourself, and your own giving of one hundred percent in this now moment to whatever you are doing, and I'm assuming that that doing would be the reading of this article, then the only choice you give me is to repeat myself! Incredible, isn't it? Unless you give what I am now saying, all the seriousness and playfulness you are capable of, regardless of the "amount" whatever that is, then you are holding back. Since life isn't a game any of us will ever win only play, what would be your reasons for doing that? I know mine were fear of looking bad, embarrassment, tentativeness, and a clear practice of self-loathing. Where did these practices come from? I never found out. I no longer care where they originated either. The only thing I care about is the continuance of my deepening experience of self-love, because it is only through self-love that we allow ourselves to stop winning, and start playing. This isn't about conceit, not at all. When I'm conceited, I feel better than you, but when I love myself, I love you as well, and then we are truly equal in all ways. The only true compassion possible comes out of such deep self-love, and what the world needs now as it has always needed it, is your love. Mostly because for each one of us, that inner love is the only love there is in the world! Where else did you think it would ever come from? Billions of other people also waiting to be loved? Not hardly! That needed love, in the form of your giving one hundred percent to your life, right now, is the only self-love you will ever experience, and the only true winning we will ever have in and as our lives. When we stop winning and start playing, the circumstances of our lives dramatically shift, every time. Now that's a win I can love with!
