Beyond being inspired, what does it take to stay inspired? What is the inspiration for application? Because without action, there is no inspiration! Application by, TB Wright

As inspiring as it is, even inspiration has no value unless it is applied. We could have a hundred toolboxes full of the sharpest tools possible, but unless we open that box up, they're useless. Then beyond just opening our own particular boxes up, we have to feel inspired enough to actually use those tools. Looking at them may make us feel good, and if what we are after is to collect pretty tools, that will have some value. But their true value, for those of us who want to apply them for the construction of our lives, is in their application.

So the most useful question to ask ourselves might not be "What to use?" or even, "How do I use these tools?" but rather, "What inspires me to pick them up and use them?" Because once we are inspired, invariably the question of "How to?" gets answered during the application of the tools. Practice makes perfect and all that. You can't learn how to be a great bike rider without getting up and pedaling every day, yet with the tools of inspiration, we have this strange notion that any one of us, especially those who are highly successful, have done just that: got to where we are through some magic process that took no work, little sweat, and God forbid, a lot of time! If you only knew the mistakes made in the name of keeping on! They are legion. As legion as the time these processes take. During each individual process, the information necessary for our training in the use of tools is everywhere: "Do this for twenty times a day, keep this journal, use this acronyming practice, read this book, take this seminar." However, these kinds of clear instructions are not all of what we require to be successful, as valuable as this coaching is. Yes, do what is suggested. But prior to those suggestions, before we even become willing to take up what is offered, what we first require in order to be successful, is the inspiration for application!

What then, inspires you to pick up the tools and use them? For me, it's the freedom that the application of tools for success provides. The freedom to make more and more choices, more and more of the time. Choices such as where I want to go, what I want to do, how I want to feel, and the gifts I want to give to myself and to others. Gifts of my time, my energy, and my love. What a life! These are the choices of always heading in the direction of a stronger connection as Source, a clearer sense of self, joyous relationship with others, great health, loving family, a satisfying career, a chosen avocation, more money, ever increasing wealth, total abundance, and internal joy all while making a difference in people's lives. The attainment of the choices we each make is the value we seek through all we be, do, and have. Value keeps us focused on what we want and pushes us to do whatever it takes to get the job of acquiring value done. Value is the carrot on the stick, whatever our particular carrot is! For instance, with relationship, when things get difficult, what keeps us pursuing that relationship until it works out in the way we desire it to, is either the value we have known, or the value that we plan to experience at the fruition of our efforts. Maybe it's a strong sense of family, or an overwhelming experience of love, or to simply get along with another that's it for us. That's our value!

For each of us, the way we get inspired, and then more importantly, the means we discover for staying inspired, is different. One thing to consider is that staying inspired is a process that takes place in the moment, day by day, and moment by moment. Nobody "finds" their inspiration and that's it. The application of our inspiration is like doing pushups. You wouldn't expect to do one pushup and then be fit for the rest of the year, now would you? Yet we expect that kind of result with our inner work! For instance, we often think that when we give up being angry once, then anger is gone forever. Don't worry about that one! We have plenty of buttons for the pushing, and our hard wiring won't disappear at the giving up of any particular one of our reactions that usually get in the way of our being successful. We will always have more pushups to do! At those times of being in upset, whenever I share this information with others in a way that supports them in making the choices they wish to make for their lives too, I get re-inspired. The motto that bests represents this action more than any other, is that of "give it away to live it away" or WYGYL! What You Give, You Live! WYGYL! is a fundamental acronyming practice right out of the acronyming book Acronyming POWER Your Life! It's a core truth that can't be wiggled out of! WYGYL!

What keeps you up at night? What occupies your thoughts when you are daydreaming about how you would like your life to be? What solutions would you like to come up with that the application of would cause you to be satisfied? What is your core requirement for the having of this joy? Now is the time to get out that pencil or pen, and simply jot a few of these questions and answers down.

The question remains: What is your inspiration for application?
